hip hip horaay to me!

What girl doesnt like to feel like a princess? And whats the day a girl can be a princess.. HER BIRTHDAY! Ive always been a girl who counts the down days until my birthday, always remenbers close friends birthdays and love to make a fuss of birthdays.

So with my birthday approaching Ive been planning a girls birthday tea for the day before my birthday. A late afternoon tea, with cakes, sandwhiches, quiches and tea- and lots of gossip is all I need to celebrate my birthday.

My new found place of heaven in Cape Town has to be 'Queen of Tarts' in Observatory. With every cake you can dream of.. they can make it. So after always being a fan of sweet things Ive decided to go all out for my twenty third birthday.

who what wear ?

With less than a month to go until until I arrive in London, obviously I have been clued to the internet constantly looking at 'whats new' or 'just arrived'.. and have found some items I would die to have hanging in my closet. So I thought I would share them with you..

Seeing London is going into Autumn you can see lots of lace up boots, coats and warm jerseys in stores but there are still summer items that all of us Southern hemisphere shoppers would like as our summer approaches.

This black lace up playsuit from Topshop would be look super chic with wedges and layered chains. For me, I always feel safer going for something black, as you can never go wrong with it. Growing up and loving blod bright floral prints I now have turned to the more plainer safer options.

Again from Topshop, the Premium Sequin Panel Skirt would be perfect for New Years eve. Worn with a black plain vest, blazer and Ally heels would be my ideal look. What more do you need to welcome the new year in style??

Countdown has begun

So August has arrived, Winter this year in Cape Town has been um.. more like summer. My winter wardrobe has barely been touched. Tights, sandels and a nice tee has been more of my everyday wear. When winter arrived in April I was excited to bring out my coats, scarfs and nice leather boots but unfortunatly that hasnt been the case. Im not complaining! Weekends have been relaxed, spent either watching Adrian play rugby, mornings at the Organic market, dinners with friends or the random night out on the town.

But now the excitment has started as my countdown for my twenty third birthday and trip to the UK is less than a month away. I have been constantly browsing topshop, Zara and river island sites with their latest new styles. After saving up and planning this trip for over 6 months it all seems unreal that the times has come so fast.
